inFerretGroup: Internationally into Ferrets

Domestic ferret or ferret these are the names of one of the most wonderful animal, who has ever been living next to a human being for the whole history. Ferrets were already known by ancient people. In the times of Aristotle they have already been used for hunting rabbits and secure barns from rodents. Long time ago Ferret predator from the mustelidae family became a good friend and a little helper for a human.

Nowadays, domestic ferret is not only a pet or an animal-companion, but also a symbol of new way of living. This animal, in our days rush, does not allow us to forget all the eternal values and moreover helps us to be more attentive and cautious with the nature. All this is well known by ferret owners.

inFerretGroup shares exactly this ideology. Our aim is not only to unify people, ferrets owners and breeders, but also to make the animal a real symbol of a new era, new post-industrial state of mind. Join us!

Breakout of inFerretGroup

InFerretGroup was founded on the 21st of March 2007 in Vilnus, Lithuania - it is the first international community of ferret owners and breeders in the whole history. Members of inFerretGroup are the ferret owners and breeders from Russia (ruFERRET), Lithuania (LtFERRET - Šeško Klubas) and Latvia (lvFERRET).

The foundation of inFerretGroup as an international union is based on the needs of such a dynamic and constantly changing our days world. Today when communication between different countries and people is developing so fast, it is absolutely necessary to create a base for support and mutually beneficial collaboration in the sphere of ferret-area.

The main goals of existing "traditional" local clubs of ferret lovers rarely cross the borders of their own city and never the borders of several cities of one and the same country. Contrary to this, inFerretGroup defines its priority as an exchange of information and experience from all over the world.

The idea of creating inFerretGroup was stipulated by long-term cooperation of breeders from Russia and Baltic States, clear understanding of unanimity of problems arising and ways of solving them, as well as the necessity of elaboration of a unique strategy in ferret breeding. Russian, as well as Baltic States experience in breeding of domestic ferrets is unique and interesting in its own way. Differences between geopolitical placement of our countries, accessibility to the different sources of information and as a result different experience are the basis, on which the integration is formed.

InFerretGroup is aimed to establish the domestic ferret not only as an animal-companion or pet. We do believe that this animal can become a new symbol in the modern world. It is well known that in the industrial word, human being suffers from missing its fundamentals (Jean-Jacques Rousseau), what is resulting in a growing need of direct interaction with wild nature. However our days rush, inhered by all societies, has its own corrections and makes the interaction with the nature more and more difficult. Therefore the animal playing the role of a part of the nature is quite an alternative answer and a guide to the nature.

Ferret for us is not simply an animal-companion, but first of all our style of life. Ferret is an exotic domestic animal (comparing to traditional cats and dogs). People owned by ferrets share a special way of thinking and special attitude to life. Ferret becomes a symbol of the way of living to the most conscious ferret owners and breeders. It does not depend of the nationality or cultural traditions and that is why we claim Internationally into Ferrets. inFerretGroup is to proliferate and to support these tendencies, to create and modernize the maximum comfortable and cosy environment for ferret owners and breeders communication.
